Traditional Versailles Panels Are Back and No Longer the Preserve of French Castles

The Lalegno Versailles panels have been laid above a plywood subfloor to achieve the height deviation tolerance of +/- 2mm under a 3m straight edge.

The panels are 800 x 800mm and 20mm thick with a 6mm thick oak top layer, each panel has been bonded to the subfloor using Sika 54 Parquet Adhesive.

The parquet of these tiles, which can be fitted quickly and easily, consists of square panels with diagonal plaits, framed by longer oak strips.

Panels and accompanying sidings are prepared and distressed carefully e.g. smoked, beaten and brushed. Moreover, the so called old wood effect is applied to the fine joints adorning this floor, so they look splendid, authentic and old.

The panels come unfinished as standard so floor fitters can apply their own unique finish to do justice to the client’s floor and interior.
